ABOUT TAHLTAN TERRITORIES
- Situated in Northern British Columbia, Canada.
- Encompasses an area of 95,933 kmĀ², accounting for 11% of British Columbia’s total land area.
- Features diverse ecosystems that vary with terrain and climate.
- Home to three main communities: Telegraph Creek, Dease Lake, and Iskut.
POPULATION
- Of 4,000 individuals, 90% live outside the territory
- Tahltans make up more than fifty percent of the population residing within Tahltan territory.
MAIN GOALS
- Enlist community support to demand the return of artifacts from the Royal BC Museum.
- Increase awareness of artifact repatriation issues in the Tahltan territories.
- Preserve cultural heritage by facilitating community access to artifacts.
- Utilize the blog as a platform for increased connectivity and create stronger support for the Tahltan community.
